About the Role
This position is part of a recruitment project managed by United Consulting Group on behalf of a client operating in the agriculture and manufacturing sector.
United is supporting the hiring process for a key finance role within the client’s Vietnam operations. The successful candidate will be directly employed by the client and will play a critical role in setting up and managing accounting and compliance functions on the ground.
- Position Title: Accounting Lead / Senior Accounting Head
- Department: Finance
- Location: Vietnam (Tay Ninh city - relocation bonuses included)
- Reports to: General Manager Vietnam
Role Overview
The Accounting Lead is responsible for managing full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with Vietnamese regulations. This role supports audits, strengthens internal controls, and provides financial insights to support business decisions and operational planning.
The position requires strong ownership of financial processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Good working level of English for reporting and coordination
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA (Vietnam), ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in Vietnam
- Strong knowledge of VAS, tax compliance, and statutory reporting
- Experience with IFRS or group reporting is a plus
- Proficient in MISA accounting software and Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and accountability
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and proper account classification
- Consolidate financial data across departments or entities where required
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency
2. Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
- Handle tax filings including CIT, VAT, and PIT
- Monitor regulatory updates and implement required changes
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
- Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes
3. Operational Support
- Work with internal teams to align financial processes with operations
- Support payroll review and fixed asset tracking
- Assist in financial planning and reporting activities
- Improve and document accounting policies and procedures
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: USD 1,500 to USD 2,000 per month
